We are currently looking for an Operations Manager Field Service for our field service department in Schiedam.

What does this mean?
Managing and coaching the field service department iso that the objectives are achieved. Including realization of customer requirements, such that the revenue targets are achieved, margins are good, customers and employees are satisfied.

The work activities:

• Managing and coaching the field service staff, planner, technical support and order processing staff so that the objectives are achieved.
• Structuring operational tasks and activities.
• Efficient distribution and organization of the tasks that are part of the total process from application to preparation of the invoice.
• Stimulating a "we" feeling by coaching in a team-oriented way and by organizing structural consultation.
• Delegating activities to his direct reports and giving them the space to execute matters in time, and to monitor deadlines.
• Developing and coaching the (field) service employees, guaranteeing quality.
• Responsible for personnel policy, such as absenteeism and recruitment.
• Conducting development interviews with employees within the field service, focusing on the flow and competencies and for obtaining feedback on their own performance
• Creating conditions (including working conditions) that allow employees to work satisfactorily and with pleasure.
• Develop an individual and general training plan and coordinate this with the Managing Director.
• Drawing up an annual financial plan in consultation with the Managing Director and Financial Manager and Sales colleagues.
• Translate the annual financial plan to the required headcount and required occupancy rate and required hiring from third parties (outsourcing).
• Monitoring the quotation requests, quotation score percentage and order intake in accordance with budget.
• Monitor sales and margin versus budget.
   

Who are you:

• Understand and gain knowledge about MAN equipment, MAN infrastructure, customers and applicable processes.
• Maritime background with a Bachelor/Master degree in engineering; 
• Very good knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
• Experience of working in a global organization organized in a matrix structure.
• Strategic mindset with proven track record of implemented innovations in service business.
• Excellent communicator with strong track record of service and management activities. 
• Fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English.
• Ability to interact on all organizational levels with many different stakeholders.
